When I went by this morning there was a van with ladders! A man was masking the windows and the tubs with tape and plastic. When I came back around lunch time he had gotten a lot done already. First he blows on the paint.

By the end of the day on Sunday they had put up all the drywall they had. So close! Monday morning they were back on the job early. The ceiling is high! I wish I had got to see how they got that up there!

We passed our insulation inspection, so we can hang the drywall! When we got to the house on Friday they had delivered a lot of drywall and other materials. They had also marked the floor under everything on the ceiling. Drywall Drywall Gold Bond 54”

In June they started building the porches. They dug down to the piers and put in the supports. They nailed on flashing. Then they put up the ledger and some serious bolts. They came back in July and framed the back porch. Everybody stood on

They installed the insulation today. They put R-15 in the walls and R-38 in the ceiling. What does R mean? “R” Means Resistance to Heat Flow The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power.  The attic has thicker insulation because more heat is lost
