Blue Ridge Log Cabins Luxe 1 2-story Modular Home
Every time we drive into South Carolina on I-26 we look at the new model at Blue Ridge Log Cabins. It is a white 2-story rectangle on the east side of the road near the log cabin models. It looked like it might be some kind of container house.
We finally had a chance to stop.
Blue Ridge Log Cabins wasn’t open, but this time we got to take a look. Then I looked on the website for more information.
The house is called the Luxe I. It is much bigger than it looks from the interstate.
Blue Ridge Log Cabins Luxe I 2-story Modular Home
2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths
1,417 square feet
The Luxe I is a contemporary take on the traditional log home. It features solid 6×12 Eastern White Pine log exterior walls with 9′ ceilings on both levels. The large, 8′ tall windows give the home an added sense of openness, flooding the space with natural light and framing views of the surrounding landscape. Luxe I comes standard with Electrolux appliances, 12′ full opening Panoramic Door, 2nd floor wet bar, balcony with cable railing, and 52 Low-E double pane windows.
Downstairs has a 14′ 11″ by 12′ 6″ bedroom, a full bath, a usable kitchen and a living room.
The plans show a larger deck. The model just has a walkway.
The look is very modern.
From the road it looked kinda like a container home, but it is much bigger.
The plan has a wraparound deck and a second floor balcony. You can get the idea from the model. The front has glass doors.
The Luxe I has a modern look with a lot of large windows.
Upstairs has another full bath and a 12′ 6″ by almost 15′ second bedroom with a lot of windows.
Upstairs a 14′ x 16′ Flex room that walks out to the upstairs balcony.
Award for Excellence in Home Design
It seems that it just showed up, but evidently it’s been there longer than I thought. It won an Award for Excellence in Home Design in 2019.
BRLC Receives 2019 BSC Jerry Rouleau Awards of Excellence in Home Design for Luxe I
We were recently honored to receive a national award! The 2019 BSC Jerry Rouleau Award for Excellence in Home Design was awarded to us for our new Luxe I home.
This was awarded for our New Luxe I model home located at our model center in Campobello, SC. It features a clean, modern look with large windows and high-end finishes. The Luxe I is the first in a new series designed by Sarah Smith.
The house really doesn’t look much like a log cabin from the outside, but the award is for best log home under 2000 square feet.
But when you look inside, you can see all the natural wood. This is the living room.
The model wasn’t open when I was there. I could see inside through the windows, but the photos are too full of reflections.
This is the kitchen. The counter is wide enough to have stools on the other side.
To the left you can see the corner of the stairs going up.
This is the downstairs bedroom. The log walls are stained white so the wood grain still shows.
This is looking through from the downstairs bedroom window out to the glass doors to the front deck.
