Amazon Pillow Covers for the Back Porch

I had outdoor pillow from Pier 1 for years, but they had faded a lot. So I ordered some new pillow covers on Amazon.

They weren’t Prime, no free shipping. I ordered them all at the same time on June 21 and they said they would be delivered by August 2. I decided they were worth the wait, but they came sooner.

The descriptions were pretty similar. They were all 18” x 18” pillow covers with a hidden zipper. Only one said that the print was on both sides. They were pretty un-specific about what kind of fabric. Even the ones that said anything said “cotton linen or canvas” or “cotton, woven durable machine washable linen.” They said that the size might have a deviation, that the color might be different. Feedback complained that the printing wasn’t clear… But they were all really inexpensive, so I gave them a try.

The first ones that came were the one with the dragon and the one with a Blue Willow pagoda.

The print is really big and I was hoping that you would be able to tell there is a dragon on at least one side.

Both sides look exactly like the photo. Perhaps they are printing squares with just this design. It is printed on nice heavy canvas type fabric.

The zipper is put in well.

This is the first one I picked and I thought about just buying five of these. The fabric is the same, like nice heavy canvas. The print is on both sides.

The zipper is sewed in well.

The next one that came is a completely different fabric. It is a very heavy kinda silky feeling fabric.

The print is on both sides and the zipper is put in perfectly.

The next two came yesterday. This one has a green background instead of the navy blue.

It is the heavy canvas fabric and the print is clear and bright on both sides.

This pillow cover has pink piping. It is the only one that isn’t printed on the other side.

The fabric has a heavy texture.

The back is unprinted heavy canvas.

There is pink piping all the way around. The zipper is absolutely perfectly sewed in.

The print is the same as the Unbranded Thibaut Honshu Navy Pillow Cover, but the fabrics are completely different.

I am happy with all of the pillows. They are all bright colors, clean printing, sewed well, exactly 18” x 18”… Nothing at all wrong.

None of them are supposed to be outside, so I don’t know how long they will last.

I was really disappointed in the Pier 1 pillow covers until I calculated that they had been on my other sunny porch for almost 14 years. And other than being faded, they were fine.

These won’t be in as much direct rain or sun. At least for right now, they look great!
