Project: Butler’s Pantry with Built-in Wine Fridge
I found a wine fridge on clearance at Lowes and decided to incorporate it when I remodeled the kitchen.
I wanted it to look like a hutch or built-in bar area to blend the kitchen and the living room in my open floor plan.
I wanted it supported by wrought iron, so I looked for decorative metal accent wall panels. I looked a long time at a lot of places to find pieces that would be the right dimensions. Then I ordered the upper cabinet to fit. I was actually only looking for the two side panels, but it came with the center piece. I used the center piece upside-down on the end of the bottom cabinet.
I found butcher block in the clearance area of Ikea. If I were to do this again, I would not use butcher block. People want to cut on it and it stains.
