Closets
The new house is rich in closets. We have nice sized closets in the guestrooms, a linen closet and a big closet off the entry. The bedroom has a wonderful walk-in closet.
It shows some shelving on the plans, but the contract doesn’t specify what they will be.
This is what the model has.
We have double doors, too. I guessed we would have the same wire shelf with rod. And we do.
This is how the shelf and rod work.
Here are the closet plans:
This is the linen closet plan.
This the linen closet at the Schumacher Model.

This is the plan for the guest room and Cliff’s office. I’m guessing R&S means Rod and Shelf.
This is the closet off the entry. Nice and big! 6′ 7 1/2″ x 4′! The original plan had a single door off the hallway. We moved it to off the entry. Double doors make it much easier to reach everything. The original plans were for a very deep narrow closet. I think this is more practical.
This is our closet. They originally did not put shelves all the way across because the breaker box was going to be in our closet.
They moved the breaker box to the laundry room, so this is the adjusted master closet plan.
The Closets We Got
They finished installing the pieces. This is what we got.
One of the shelves still had the tag on them. They are TotalSlide, made by ClosetMaid.

This is not on ClosetMaid’s website. It seems to be something that is only sold to the trade. It is on Amazon and eBay.
It has a shelf and a closet bar. It seems pretty sturdy. That’s all I really know.

So, here is Cliff’s office closet. The guest room looks exactly the same. Underwhelming, but it is just fine.
Above and below are the two sides in our closet. We will add drawers and more shelves and rods…
The marks on the wall are from where they sprayed the doors. They took the doors off, leaned them against the wall, and sprayed them white. The paint is just the primer. They will finish painting later.
This is the laundry room. I had not expected any shelves here. Perhaps I will move these to our closet. I have a different plan for the laundry room.
