Board and Batten White River Storage Shed
We went out shed shopping again yesterday. We can’t pull permits to build the barn until we have the CO for the house. We had a year to get everything out of the barn at the house we sold. We had hoped to have the new house done, but it isn’t. So… Until then, all the “good stuff” from the old barn is everywhere. The garage at the log cabin is completely full. The Miata is in the yard. There is “good stuff” all over the porch. The guest room and the end of the bedroom are full. There is even stuff under tarps in the dog’s yard…
They don’t make the New Day Cabin that we have here at the log cabin. They don’t make the Summer Wind Barn here, either. They are available in some places still, but here is not one of them. There are kits. And there are a lot of places that make garages, barns and storage buildings that you can have delivered. So, shed shopping.
We looked at the Board and Batten White River Storage Shed. It is at Carolina Storage Solutions, a shed place very near us.
I like the roof. Cliff was underwhelmed. But then we went on their website and saw the options.
You can add a full loft. It comes bigger, much bigger, up to 12’ x 36’.
It has a hinged roof. The roof can fold back down, should you ever want to move the shed. I’m betting the shingles would suffer.
There are a lot of options you can add to it. The photo above is a 12′ x 22′ White River Garage with an 8′ lean to added to each side. You can see the stairs and a landing through the wide door opening.

- Oak framing
- 5/8” Plywood floor
- PT (Pressure treated) 2×6 floor joists w/ 4×4 skids

White River Storage Shed Plans
The plans show a garage door. The display had double doors.
This is exactly what the back looked like.
Since it would be completely filled with shelves, it doesn’t need a lot of windows.
The high peaked roof gives a lot more space inside.
This shows the optional L shaped stairs.
