Tiny House Neighborhood Tour Continues
Here are more of the photos we took of tiny houses when the Village at Flat Rock, a tiny house community near Hendersonville, NC had an open house and neighborhood tour.
Tiny Charcoal and White House
This tiny house is high contrast. The charcoal grey lap siding is highlighted by bold white trim and a white metal roof. Walk in through the welcoming front porch To the double doors with windows on both sides.
High windows allow the inside walls to have storage, without sacrificing light. Even if all you see is the sky, it makes the space feel larger.
This tiny cabin is right by the lake. The pine green and brown stain colors are perfect for such a rustic cabin. The porch is screened in with dark screen. It gives privacy from outside, but you barely notice it from the porch.
Screen keeps leaves off the porch. You even have less dust and pollen to worry about if you screen in your porch. And with such a small space, it doesn’t cost much!
Blue-Grey Tiny Towable
This tiny house is on the Tiny Towable side of the neighborhood. The blue grey lap siding is perfectly complemented by the deep red metal roof. The door and windows are finished in the same color. Bright white fascia and white trim around the door and windows finishes the cheerful clean look.
This small log cabin looked so big when we walked by. After looking at so many tiny houses, this small log home looked so big!
The small log cabin is about three times the size of the tiny houses around it. It has a low roof, lower even than some of the nearby tiny houses. The porch runs the entire length of the cabin. One end is left uncovered, to enjoy the sun. This allows more light to enter the windows at that end of the cabin, too.
Look what we saw when we toured a Tiny House Neighborhood! They must be Doctor Who fans. They painted the hardie board siding Tardis Blue. Look closely. The chameleon circuit is working.
