The First Two Modular Homes are Delivered and Set

The First Two Modular Homes are Delivered and Set

Two of the new Modular Homes near us I talked about earlier were delivered. A crane moved them onto the foundation and they are in the process of completion. So if you want to be my neighbor, this is your opportunity.

The two sections of the first modular home were delivered a while ago and I’ve been waiting to watch them move them onto the foundation.

The day the crane came, I felt crummy and only got a couple of photos from the corner of our land.

I got really, really sick, so I didn’t even see them deliver the second home and only coincidentally saw the crane. These photos are through my bathroom window.

You can see how the sections are delivered with the roof folded up.

This is the first section being moved into place on the foundation. (See my window screen? I could not work up any more ambition than this.)

This is while they are picking up the second section. I went back to bed and missed it being moved.

This is how the roof is hinged to be transported, then unfolded to assemble.

The next time I looked, they had the roof unfolded.

This is what the roof looks like where it hinges to unfold. Cool!

This is what it looked like yesterday. The front house, the smaller one, likely won’t take long now.

These front windows and the sliding glass doors open into the dining room.

These are the dining room sliding glass doors. The house has a lot of light.

This is the back of the first house. The double windows open into small bedrooms.  The window on the back right opens into the master bedroom. The house back left window and the transom window are in the master bathroom.

There are two small bedrooms.

The master bedroom has more closet space. There is a bathroom door not visible in this photo.

Although it is not a split floor plan, the two “kids” bedrooms don’t share a wall with the master bedroom.

This is the back modular home. It is larger and will have a two car garage.

The sun was at exactly the wrong angle to see through the glass at the back house. So we will get to see what the it will look like later.
