Loft Options for Westwood Cabins Prefab Modular Homes

Westwood Cabins makes four models. Each model can be arranged in a lot of different ways.
When we toured, most of the cabins we saw left the ceiling high and vaulted.

But you can have a lower ceiling in some areas to add a loft.

The loft can be used as a bedroom or guest room or extra storage.

It can be closed in to use as utility space if you want to have an air handler and ducts to vents.

We also saw a built in bunk.

The smallest cabin is the Studio model. It is 12-feet wide and as little as 264 square feet. Adding a loft over the kitchen and bath adds a sleeping loft.

A loft over the porch adds real usable space.

The high pitch of the roof makes more usable space.

Fog Hollow cabins are also 12-feet wide.

This Fog Hollow cabin has a loft over the bathroom and over the bedroom. This time the access is from the living room.

This is the same floor plan, but loft access is from the kitchen.

Creekside Cabins and Bear Ridge Cabins are 14-feet to 14′ 8″ wide.

Creekside cabins can have a porch with a loft over it, too.

This Creekside cabin has a shed roof. The left side is much higher. Access to the loft is a pull-down ladder in the laundry area.

Here is a Bear Ridge cabin under construction. The loft will be over the kitchen and bathroom. It will be open to the living room with a wall in the back, leaving the bedroom ceiling vaulted.

This is another little Studio cabin. The rail allows the ladder to slide out of the way.

There is enough room for a mattress on the floor.

The loft is completely finished, just like the rest of the cabin.
