The kit shown is a Do-It-Yourself Building Kit from EZ Log Structures.

The model is called Louisville.  It is a Premium Model. It makes a small cabin with a front porch. The outside is 18.7-feet x 27.2-feet to the ends of where the logs stick out. The cabin part is 18.7-feet x 16.7-feet, plus a 6.6-foot by 16.7-foot front porch.

The floor is constructed first. It runs under the porch and the cabin.
Beams are always made from pressure-treated wood.

They are made of kiln dried spruce and pine. The logs have a deep tongue & groove, so no seal is required. Kits for larger cabins include threaded steel rods or logs screws to keep the logs tight.

The cabin is 437 square feet. It is a smaller cabin that can be built by nearly anyone, as long as you have some construction knowledge. The kit is pre-trimmed. There is virtually no cutting and no heavy equipment is required for assembly.

The first two rows of logs are attached to the wood floor using provided anchors, screws and brackets.

The kit includes drawings with all of the parts numbered and the size and quantity. There are drawings of each part showing where it goes.

Interlocking corners make the construction robust and easy to assemble.

If you review the plans in advance and lay out the materials, construction should be straightforward. Just be sure to square and level as you go.

Windows and doors do not get attached to the logs. They float in the rough openings to allow for wall shrinkage.
They are held in place by the inner and outer trims sandwiching the logs. After one year they can be fastened permanently.

The wood comes natural, with no paint or stain.

It is important to apply a wood wood preservative to the logs as soon as possible after construction.

The roof is covered with felt, then shingles or metal.

You can choose whether to use penetrating sealer and leave the logs the natural light color. Or use an impregnating stain or paint. We used the same stain inside and outside the cabin, since stain sometimes bleeds through where the logs meet.

Rigid board insulation can be used as roof installation.

The roof and ceilings can be insulated by building up the exterior on top of the tongue and groove roof boards.

Exterior roof material is not included.
