Off-frame Modular Homes
The Meadow Ridge ADU Cabins are designed to be anchored securely to the foundation, which can be a concrete slab, piers, or a crawl space. They are “true modular homes, built on a wood foundational frame rather than a chassis. This design ensures they are suitable for permanent, full-time living.” They are not mobile homes or RV style Park Models.

Mono-Slope Roof Design
Meadowridge cabins have a 7/12 roof pitch with a mono-slope design. Sometimes called a shed roof or lean-to roof, this single slope roof leaves one wall much higher than the other, creating a higher open ceiling. Meadowridge cabins add windows to this wall for even more light.
The mono-slope roof design, built in our Texas prefab cabin factory, is ideal for creating a modern, airy aesthetic while maximizing natural light.

The interior is finished with clear-coated ponderosa pine. You can opt to have the interior painted or upgrade to shiplap style nickel gap interior siding. If you want the interior finished with sheetrock or other materials, you can order the cabin as a shell, with the interior walls unfinished.
With our prefab cabins, we use ponderosa pine for the interior walls. Pine walls offer great durability and flexibility in finishing. They can be finished with a water-based clear coat, whitewashed, or painted. We avoid using sheetrock in our prefab cabins due to the risks associated with transportation and installation—sheetrock may crack during these processes. Pine walls, in contrast, are resilient and less likely to be damaged if struck.
Choose natural wood or painted finish cabinetry in the kitchen and bath. Flooring is durable waterproof Mohawk laminate flooring.
