The new hidden panel doors are flush, flat, on both sides. When they are closed, they can be invisible, especially if you have the right molding.

The doors pull or push to swing open. The doors can be thin, very thin. The shelf murphy doors take up some of the doorway width. The new Hidden Panel Murphy Doors don’t really take up any space at all.

The door can be trimmed and finished to be completely hidden when it is closed. When the door is open, there is plenty of space to walk through the doorway.

The one that has everything is the easiest one is complete. It has everything, including wood pre-finished in black, white or unfinished to paint or stain yourself.

The Hidden Panel Murphy Door Kit comes complete with all the necessary components for installation. This includes the door panel, hinges, door handle, and mounting hardware.

You will need some tools. The instructions require a drill with Phillips head drive, 1/8″ hex wrench, adjustable wrench or 3/8″ wrench, clamps, 1/2″ countersink bit, 3/8″ countersink bit, 36″ level, mallet hammer and shims.

Step-by Step instructions walk you through assembling the pre-cut pieces in your opening.

Kits are available to fit most standard openings. They come in 24″, 26″, 28″, 30″, 32″, and 36″ wide. Shims and additional molding help the kit fit even less common doorway sizes.

The complete door kit includes the hardware for the hinge side as well as hardware to pull the door and magnetic catches to hold it in place.

All of the fasteners are included, too.

Our hinge will support a single door weighing up to 200lbs while functioning with ease. Finishing carpentry and cabinetry are skilled professions. We provide hinge templates based on the doors that we build. Additional stiffening hardware or bracing may be necessary to prevent bowing or warping of thin profile panel doors.

Murphy Door CAN NOT assist with the customization process if you choose to design/build your own hidden door.
