New 2-Bedroom Single Section Modular Cabin from Blue Ridge Log Cabins
Blue Ridge Log Cabins builds log cabins in a factory off of I-26 north of Spartanburg, South Carolina, just before the North Carolina state line. You can tour model log cabins and other cabins that are built on site and delivered to your own land. They are built in sections, like modular homes, except the sections are all constructed from real logs. They have a new larger 2-bedroom log cabin than can be delivered complete.
When we were looking at the options to build a cabin, we were very attracted to the Tryon log cabin. It is complete in one piece, which saves a lot of money.
Porches, steps, decks and landing are all built on-site.
The Tryon 1 plan is 46-feet long. You can customize any of their plans to be up to 50-feet long.

The Tryon 2 plan is 50-feet long. It has two bedrooms.
The space is arranged similarly, but not exactly the same. It isn’t shown on their website yet, but it is available.
I lined up the kitchen and bathroom to see the differences.
All of the cabins from Blue Ridge Log Cabins are 12’9″ wide inside.
The living room on the Tryon 1 is 14′ 2″ x 12’9″, 182 square feet.
The living room on the Tryon 2 is 11’11” x 12’9″, 152 square feet.
The bathrooms are identical, both 4’10.5″ x 8’11”.
Both Tryon plans show a hot water heater tank. I would guess you can get them with a tankless hot water heater and use that space to store something more practical than water.
The Tryon 1 kitchen is 10’3″ long. The washer and dryer are behind folding doors.
The Tryon 2 kitchen is 7’4″ long. There is an island for more storage and counter space. The washer and dryer are behind folding doors off the hallway.
Above and below is the kitchen in one of the models you can tour at Blue Ridge Log Cabins. It is about the same square footage as the Tryon 1 plans. The washer and dryer take up some of the space in the Tryon 1, though.
Blue Ridge Log Cabins Tryon 2 has a little bit smaller kitchen, but the island adds a lot of practical space. There is a bar on one side with enough room for two to eat comfortably.
Above, the wall this bed is against is 12’8″. That is pretty much the same size as the long wall in both bedrooms in Blue Ridge Log Cabins Tryon 2 plan. (This photo is the Blowing Rock II model it is larger than the Tryon plans, 15’10” x 12’8″.)
Tryon 2 has two bedrooms. The one off the living room is , 10′ x 12’9″. The one at the other end is 10’6″ x 12’9″. Both have very small closets.
The photo above shows exposed beams. You can order the cabins with exposed beams like this, a flat ceiling like the photo below or with a vaulted ceiling.
The Tryon 1 bedroom is 11’11” x 12’9″, 152 square feet. It has a great closet, but it takes up the longest wall. The bed would have to go on the smaller 11’11” wall.
The photo above shows a bed is against a wall that is 10’3″. The wall the Tryon 1 bed goes against is almost 2-feet wider, so you can see it will fit without being crowded.
This photo is the River Rock 2 bedroom, 12’8″ x 10’3″. That is about the same size as both of the bedrooms in the Tryon 2 plan.
