LOG CABIN HOME shell kit on eBay
The kit includes gables, ridge beam and purlins, log shell ( outer walls), floor joists, rafters, metal roofing.
Gables, ridge beam and purlins are all parts of the roof.
This plan from the King Log and Beam website looks like the same cabin.
The kit includes metal roofing.
This is the ground floor. There are two bedrooms, each with a small closet. There is a linen closet and another closet that could easily hold a washer and dryer.
The master bedroom is 14.5-foot by 10-foot. The second bedroom is a little more than 11-foot by 10-foot. The rooms are separated by closets.
The living room is large, 20 by 13.5-feet. The kitchen and dining area are 17.5 x 9.5 feet. I like that they put the kitchen sink under the window.
There is a window in the dining area, too. The plan calls for a fireplace in the living room. This photo shows another window, instead.
The loft area is large, 18.5 x 23-foot.
The ceiling is low, but if you order more logs, you could raise it higher. The kits are customizable.
This cabin looks like the loft is higher than the photo above it.
The loft is over the bedrooms and the bathroom. The living room, kitchen and dining area have a high ceiling.
The kit includes lumber to build the stairs. You can order these round staircase logs instead.
The King Log and Beam website and King Log and Beam Facebook Page show other floor plans. This plan is nearly identical, but with only one bedroom and storage over the porch.
King Log and Beam cabin kits are available with three different log styles.
King Log and Beam kits come with 9″ round logs with Swedish cope. Swedish cope logs are scribed with saddle notched corners for a tight fit.
You can order more massive logs, up to 12-inches.
You can order 7.5″ x 8″ D-logs instead. D-logs have the interior side cut smooth. The outside looks the same, but inside the cabin doesn’t have round logs sticking out. D-logs make it easier to arrange furniture and hang pictures and mirrors. They also don’t have all of those edges to get dusty.
There are two kits, Basic and Upgraded.
King Log and Beam Basic Kit includes gables, ridge beam and purlins, the shell, glue, and fasteners.
King Log and Beam Upgraded Kit also includes gables, ridge beams, purlins, the shell, glue, and fasteners.
It also includes floor joists, rafters, metal roofing, log glue, and fasteners.
The kits are shipped from Utah to anywhere in the contiguous United States. You can contact them for a freight quote.
Kits are delivered to your land, ready to be assembled.
