Ikea Sektion Base Corner Cabinets
Sektion has been Ikea’s cabinet series since I got my first Ikea catalog in Canada in the 1970s. There are a lot of sizes of base and wall cabinets. You can design them to fit your space, then choose the doors you want.
All of the Sektion cabinets are frameless. That means they are completely open in front. There is no lip. The door is the only thing you see in the front.
Sektion has two ways to handle the corner.
L Base Corner Cabinet
This corner base cabinet makes an L. It takes up 38” on both walls. This is the basic cabinet. The doors and countertop are sold separately.
Here it is compete with a door. It can have this carousel or lazy susan in it, but doesn’t have to.
The door hinges in the middle and can open from either side.

The shelves can be moved vertically and rotated to make it easier for you to access what you need. Requires a knob or a handle, sold separately. Foil finish.
Requires assembly. W38×D24×H30″. White/dark gray 493.222.97
The door hinges in the middle. This is what it looks like when it is all put together.
Blind Base Corner Cabinet
The other kind is they call a base corner cabinet frame. It’s what other companies call a blind. The cabinet slides into the corner so the space in the corner isn’t wasted. In some kitchen layouts it gives you the most space, but the space isn’t terribly accessible. It’s where I used to keep my hurricane supplies. It is 47” long and fits on only the one wall. The next cabinet on the corner slides right up to it.

You need to leave a little space around the corner so that the door can open.
When the kitchen is put together, the corner cabinet looks just like all of the rest of the cabinets.
They make a pull out kind of lazy susan sort of thing for it, the UTRUSTA Corner base cab pull-out fitting.
Ikea Sektion has a 25-Year Warranty.
