Building a 1350 square foot Spec House

We heard chainsaws a few weeks ago that went on and on, so we walked out to see what was going on.

They were clearing trees for a new house.

They cut so many trees.

The logs were huge. They took away truck after truck full.

They dug out all the stumps.

It didn’t think the lot was really even big enough for a house, but it was bigger than it looked.

This is the lot with the trees cleared. They are digging the footers.

I asked if I could look at the house plans.

This is the plan for the new house. I was walking the dog, who was tugging to keep on walking and there was nothing to set them on. So, this is my one-handed photo.

This is what the front of the house will look like. It is 1350 square feet.

Here is the floor plan.

It’s a good plan! Three bedrooms, two baths, small front porch. The land is quite sloped, so that will likely be a deck on the back.
