Comparing Barns

We are trying to find the right barn, until we can build our workshop. Another post compares the ones we can order through Home Depot. Carolina Storage Solutions is about 3 miles from us, so we are comparing what we can get there.

We’ve decided it is going to be a barn. There just seems to be much more storage for the footprint.

Carolina Storage Solutions has three kinds of barns; LP Smart Lofted Barns, Metal Lofted Barns and PT Lofted Barns, made with Pressure Treated wood siding.

PT Lofted Barns

There aren’t as many of the barns with Pressure Treated wood siding out on display. They don’t cost more. This 8′ x 12′ is $2,525. Made with the Smart Siding or Metal, it would be $2,795.

LP Smart Lofted Barns

LP Smart Lofted Barns are made with LP SmartSide Siding. The siding has a 50 year warranty.

LP SmartSideis treated engineered wood made by Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. It is textured to look like wood.

LP SmartSide panel siding is a product that’s more durable, stable and consistent than traditional wood panels. It’s easy to recommend for light commercial, shed and residential applications that require a premium look and the toughness to combat extreme weather.

They come in a lot of different sizes and options. They all come standard with double doors, two lofts and one window. You can get a metal roof or shingle roof.

This one is 10′ x 16′. It has a metal roof and lots of extra windows.

10′ x 16′ Smart Lofted Barn with  Side Entry. Extras are; four more windows for five total, 3 pairs of shutters, double workbench and 10′ 3-tier shelves.

This shows three windows and the double workbench. The loft is included in all the lofted barns.

There are a lot of the Metal and LP Smart Siding Barns to look at.

I’m not sure what the story is with these. They are shorter than everything else. They aren’t what we are looking for, so I never asked.

Metal Lofted Barns

Metal Lofted Barns are the same price as the LP Smart Lofted Barns.

There are a lot of them on display to look at.

They look a lot like the LP Smart Barns.

Differences

One of the biggest differences between all the barns is the hinges.

You can also get different doors.
