Change the Orientation of the Lever Handsets

When Cliff installed the door handles, one was upside down. I thought had to buy a different set or learn to live with it.
I was wrong. You don’t have to order a right and left with these handle sets. (You do with some.) These are interchangeable. It is super easy. And here is how.

You don’t need any tools at all. Just use the little pin that unlocks the door. If you’ve lost it or don’t know where it is, a cake tester works really well.

There is a little hole. Just push the pin into it until you feel it release.

It is on the side with the lever.

Then just slide the handle off.

The handle pulls off very easily. If it doesn’t, you didn’t get it released.

Then just swap it over to the other side.

And push it back on until it snaps in place.

This is the way all of the other handle sets look.

This is the way Cliff’s office handle looked. But it is right side up now. Or, my opinion of what is right side up.
Why was it upside down in the first place? Cliff says it was a test to see if I would notice. I think he was just not paying attention.
