Preemptive Mold Control
Today they applied Concrobium Mold Control to the trusses.
Concrobium Mold Control® dries on surfaces to create an invisible antimicrobial shield that kills and prevents mold. The product “contains no bleach, ammonia, alcohol or other VOCs.” It is recommended for new construction. It is used for “Pre-treatment of building materials for mold resistance during construction. It is applied directly to building materials like drywall or lumber.
In our case, they applied it to the trusses, since they had gotten wet during construction. The product is to eliminate mold and prevent mold potential.

No Bleach?
I’ve always used bleach and Kilz, but this stuff is supposed to work without bleach, ammonia or VOCs. They say it works by “crushing the mold spores at the roots and leaving behind an invisible antimicrobial barrier to prevent future mold growth.”
We don’t actually see any mold, but it’s good to know they are on top of this. They sprayed a thin, even layer over the trusses.
Salt
I looked it up, Sodium Carbonate is the listed “active ingredient” on the Concrobium Mold Control label. There are two other ingredients in the solution which, when combined with the sodium carbonate and the water, result in a patented tri-salt polymer that eliminates and prevents mold.
