French Doors, Carport Door, Dog Door and the Last Window
The last of the doors and windows are all in.
At first the French door opening was not the right size. We wanted to make sure they didn’t move it into the space for the dog door, so we wrote it on the wall.
The framers made the opening bigger, but they thought we meant for them to create an opening for the dog door. They cut an opening like for a regular house door.
Cliff found the cut out pieces in the skip, re-cut the door and put the pieces back in. He wrapped it with some of the aluminum flashing. We won’t write on the walls again.
So, the window and door installer could finally come back and finish.
The French door opens onto the back porch. The doggie door is right next to it.
Adding the locks and handle.
So here it is. All finished.
The garage window is not standard. I think that may be why they forgot to cut the opening.
Here is the garage window installed.
And the door between the carport and garage is installed.
They poured the concrete right up to the door threshold.
