Surveying and Marking the Footers for the Block

The concrete in the footers has dried. The surveyor came out to mark where the block will go.

He put in nails and spray painted them to make them highly visible.

This is one of the piers to hold up the porch.

I walked the footers looking at everything and…

You’ve got to be kidding me!

They texted back. They are coming tomorrow to re-mark. They hope that the footers are wide enough to shift the house to keep it on the footers.

I Googled and it seems this is certainly not unheard of. There are a few fixes out there. But hopefully we can just shift the house over a bit and all will be fine.

I sure hope so!
