Log Cabin Siding
Did you know they sell siding to make any house look like a log cabin?
I saw this first on a dog house, but you can buy the siding at Home Depot and put it on any house.
The boards are tongue-n-groove. That means they have a curved part that shows and a flat part to nail in.
You start at the bottom, secure to the wall, then cover the part with the nails with the next piece. The natural wood can be stained, whitewashed, clear finished or painted.
When you are done, you have the rustic charm of a log cabin, right over whatever you started with!
You could even use it inside, to give the look my log cabin has.
Home depot carries log cabin siding in two lengths, 8’ and 12’. Both are 2” thick and 8” high.
Turn your existing home or new home into a beautiful log cabin… The tongue-n-groove design gives you an authentic log look with less maintenance than other log siding. Installation is easy with no face nailing, no caulking in between joints, no waste, and no cracking or splitting.
Every piece meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. Log Cabin Siding is the perfect fit for your cabin or country home. This attractive siding features the look of oval logs. Log Cabin Siding allows you to integrate the rustic charm of a log home with conventional frame construction. Spruce Log Cabin Siding features kiln dried spruce and a ready-to-paint surface to provide accommodating wood siding.
