When I bought the cabin, there was already a wall added at the end of the dining room to create a laundry area.

I measured the items I was planning to store and added shelves the right height to fit everything.

I added a door in the hallway to access the dead space beside the washer. Now there is somewhere to park the vacuum cleaner. It took a while, because I had to have the gas heater moved. It was where I needed the closet door to be.

While I was looking at doors, I found a sound dampening work surface on Clearance. This thing is great!  It has a non-skid surface, so things don’t slide around. There is a lip on the back, so things don’t fall off. The best part is; it really does make the washer and dryer quieter.
